Earlier this month, former New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed an executive order restoring state jury service eligibility to approximately 350,000 individuals who were previously convicted and have since completed their sentences.

This important step is a meaningful win for the reentry community and reinforces New Jersey’s commitment to second chances and a more equitable justice system.
