Reentry is the process of preparing for release from incarceration and transitioning back into the community.
Each year in New Jersey, about 7,000–9,000 people return home from incarceration. This transition can be challenging – especially for those who have been incarcerated long-term. To ensure success, reentry often requires access to support, services and community resources designed to rebuild stability and transform lives for the better.
The Reentry Coalition of New Jersey works to connect individuals with the resources they need to support successful reentry and a stronger path forward.
