IN THE NEWS: Governor Murphy Grants 48 More “Second Chances” In Ongoing Clemency Crusade

November 17, 2025

New Jersey is the state for second chances. ????
In early November 2025, Governor Phil Murphy pardoned 29 people and commuted the sentences of 19 others – marking his fourth round of clemencies since launching his clemency initiative in June 2024. In total, he has now granted 217 pardons and commutations.
Thank you, Governor Murphy, for believing in the #reentry model and mission. Everyone deserves a second chance – and thanks to initiatives like these, more individuals have the opportunity to rebuild their lives and contribute positively to their communities.
