Reentry Coalition of New Jersey Residential Community Reintegration Programs – Female

August 1, 2023

At the Reentry Coalition of New Jersey, our six agency members provide safe, structured and service-rich programs to help incarcerated individuals who are nearing release with their transition back into the community.

Residential Community Reintegration Programs, also known as RCRPs, are one such program – providing life skills training/tools, employment opportunities, supportive services and more to prepare those exiting the criminal justice system for a new chapter in their life.

In New Jersey, there are two RCRPs designated specifically for females – Volunteers of America Delaware Valley’s Garrett House in Camden and New Jersey Association on Correction’s (NJAC) Millicent Fenwick House in Paterson. These RCRPs are designed to meet the unique, specific needs of each woman – personalized services can include family reunification and support, mental health counseling, addictions services, employment placement, educational opportunities and more.

Learn more about RCRPs, the specialized services provided by our agencies and how RCRPs can transform lives, including the story of former NJAC Fenwick House resident Nahfeesah Goldsmith, in this video.
